EAT-Lancet 2.0 Global Consultations
The EAT-Lancet 2.0 Global Consultations ran from June 2022 to June 2023 and engaged the public and other interested stakeholders who affect or are affected by the global food system in discussions about the transition towards healthy, sustainable, and equitable food systems. The insights and evidence gathered from the consultations will contribute to an EAT-Lancet 2.0 report that is responsive to the needs of the global and local communities by helping the Commissioners better understand the existing challenges, concerns, opportunities, gaps, and perceptions of different stakeholders. The consultations will also help build a stronger community of food systems actors that can stay involved in the lead-up to the EAT-Lancet 2.0 report and beyond.
The EAT-Lancet 2.0 consultations ran from June 2022 to June 2023 and took the following forms:
- Online consultations: facilitated discussion open to a diverse group of participants from different sectors and geographies, lasting around 1-2 hours.
- One-on-one consultations: facilitated discussion with a single entity, organization, network, or constituent group, providing a safe space to dive into more sensitive topics.
Syntheses of the consultation results will be shared with the Commissioners periodically, though a strict firewall between the Commission’s research and the insights and evidence gathered from the consultations will be maintained. All information collected in the consultation process will be collected under Chatham House Rules and will be anonymized. Participants will have the option to register with EAT and join a community committed to food systems change for people and planet. In late 2023, a synthesis report will be shared with the public.
