Dr. Wen-Harn Pan is a Distinguished Research Fellow in the Institute of Biomedical Sciences, Academia Sinicaand also jointly appointed by Research Center for Environmental Changes, Academia Sinica and Precision Nutrition Center, Asia University, Taiwan. Dr. Pan has been the Director of Institute of Population Sciences of National Health Research Institutes (NHRI), Taiwan. She has established a community-based cardiovascular cohort study in Chu-Dong and Putze since 1989 and led the National Nutrition and Health Survey in Taiwan since 1992. She established the Taiwan Han Chinese DNA and Genome Bank and AS multicenter young onset hypertension cohort. Dr. Pan currently engages in nutria-omics research, dietary therapy for NCDs, and online health promotion programs. She has been awarded the Distinguished Research Scholar by Nutrition Society of Taiwan, Lifetime Achievement Award by APCNS, and the Distinguished S&T Contribution Award by Taiwan Executive Yuan (Department of State). She earned her PhD in Nutrition and Epidemiology in Cornell University.
