Juan Rivera is founding Director of the Center for Research in Nutrition and Health at the National Institute of Public Health, a Professor of Nutrition at the School of Public Health of Mexico and an adjunct professor at the Rollins School of Public Health in Emory University in Atlanta, GA.
He is a member of the National Academy of Medicine, the Mexican Academy of Sciences, the Latin American Society of Nutrition, the American Society of Nutrition and the WPHNA. He was honored with the 2010 Elsevier Scopus Award in Health Sciences (México) and the Kellogg International Nutrition Prize 2009 by the American Society for Nutrition.
