Norah Asiyo Ebukalin is the Executive Director of the Popular Knowledge Women’s Initiative (P’KWI), a women founded farmer organisation based in Eastern Uganda focused on securing socially acceptable, environmentally responsible, economically viable and sustainable households. Through her leadership, P’KWI, has been able to mobilise over 2500 households that are impacting the lives of close to 15,000 individuals to catalyse transformative change through working with university researchers and students. Norah has also served as the Chairperson to the Board of Uganda Oil Seed Processors and Producers Association. She has received a number of awards including the Best extension link farmer in Uganda received in Dawen, Australia and the Best small-scale farmer of legumes and seed oil crops. These awards resulted into a learning and engagement visit to Zimbabwe and to the United Kingdom, among other exchange visits she has undertaken.
