The Stockholm Food Forum is a flagship initiative of EAT, designed to convene a diverse community of global stakeholders committed to transforming food systems. As with all EAT’s work, the Forum reflects our belief in building longer tables, not higher walls.

We welcome participation from individuals and organizations who demonstrate a genuine commitment to sustainable, healthy, and equitable food systems. This inclusive approach sometimes brings together voices that may not always agree—but we believe that meaningful progress requires constructive dialogue across boundaries.

Two principles guide our approach to partnerships at the Forum:

  1. Participation is not endorsement, but it is not neutral. A speaker’s appearance, an organization’s involvement, or a partner’s support for the Forum does not imply that EAT endorses all their practices, views, or operations. However, participation is contingent on a good-faith alignment with EAT’s mission and values, and we conduct a structured due diligence process to assess reputational, ethical, and sustainable concerns. Engagement is limited to the specific context of the Forum and its purpose.
  2. Editorial integrity and content independence. All official Forum programming is developed independently by EAT in collaboration with select contributors, with full editorial control maintained by EAT. Side events hosted and funded by partners are organized independently within the framework and values of the Forum. To ensure alignment, these events are reviewed against EAT’s editorial standards and ethical guidelines. If significant misalignment is identified, proposals may be declined or retracted. While EAT reviews side event proposals for alignment with our mission, the content and views expressed in these sessions are the responsibility of the organizing partner.

We recognize that platforming participants carries reputational implications. Therefore, EAT conducts a structured due diligence process, guided by criteria related to environmental, health, human rights, and governance concerns, to assess alignment with the values of the Forum.

We also welcome critical perspectives and dissenting views, provided they are evidence-based and expressed constructively. To that end, we offer participants channels for feedback, and we commit to ensuring all dialogue at the Forum adheres to principles of respectful exchange.

The Stockholm Food Forum follows EAT’s organizational conflict of interest and due diligence policies. Summaries of these policies, along with our partnership eligibility criteria, are available on request and will be published in summary form on our website for transparency.
