EAT is pleased to announce the promotion of Tomas Alfred Røen to the position of Chief Executive Officer (CEO), effective February 1, 2024.
Tomas, who previously served as Chief Operating Officer (COO), has demonstrated exceptional leadership and commitment to EAT’s mission. During his tenure as COO, Tomas played a pivotal role in overseeing day-to-day operations, financial management, organizational governance, strategy, and fundraising, contributing significantly to EAT’s strategic objectives.
As the newly appointed CEO, Tomas brings a wealth of leadership experience, strategic foresight, and a profound dedication to EAT’s mission. With a significant background in leadership within knowledge-based organizations, he harbors a personal commitment to EAT’s vision of a fair and sustainable food system. This commitment is deeply rooted in his upbringing amidst some of the most severe consequences of a flawed food system in the Central African Republic.
