A Swedish initiative to promote healthy, sustainable and affordable food takes home the Local EAT Award 2017. The winner “Portionen Under Tian”, was announced on stage at EAT Stockholm Food Forum 2017. Blogger Hanna Olvenmark received a check for 100.000 NOK and mentoring by hotel tycoon Petter A. Stordalen.

“Portionen Under Tian” translates to “one Euro serving”, and is a website sharing recipes for budget friendly healthy, sustainable meals. Hanna Olvenmark, a 29-year old dietitian, wanted to share advise and inspiration on how to make nutritious food on a tight budget, and created a website that now attracts thousands of daily followers. With the hashtag #staycheap, she wants to challenge misconceptions that you have to go to expensive restaurants to get delicious healthy food.

“I love how she’s already made a business out of it. Now, she’s exploring how she can reach even more people, also outside of Sweden. I want to help her in her goal of inspiring others,” said Petter A. Stordalen, owner of the Nordic Choice Hotel Group and head of the Local EAT Award jury.
