EAT Stockholm Food Forum 2025: Where Science Meets Action

6. March 2025

Stockholm, Sweden – March 6, 2025 – The EAT Stockholm Food Forum returns on October 3-4, 2025, bringing together global leaders in business, policy, and science to address one of the most pressing challenges of our time: transforming food systems to feed a growing population within planetary boundaries.

In anticipation of the launch of the second EAT-Lancet Commission, the Forum will space for updated science-based targets and recommendations on how healthy and sustainable food can support both people and planet—without tipping the world into deeper crisis.

An Unprecedented Year for Food Systems
2025 is set to be a watershed moment for food. The climate crisis is intensifying, hunger is on the rise, and the cost of inaction is no longer an option. But, momentum for change is growing. Governments, businesses, and civil society are aligning around the need for urgent food system transformation.

What to Expect
At the EAT Stockholm Food Forum, participants can expect a dynamic mix of high-level discussions, fireside chats, and hands-on workshops, designed to turn science into action. The Forum will provide an exclusive opportunity to engage directly with leading scientists, policymakers, and industry pioneers working at the forefront of food system change. Conversations will be evidence-based, solutions-driven, and forward-looking, focusing on how to scale real-world interventions that align with climate, biodiversity, and public health goals. Networking will be at the heart of the event, bringing together a global community of thought leaders, entrepreneurs, and advocates who are shaping the future of food. And, in true EAT fashion, food will not just be the topic of discussion but a highlight of the experience. The EAT Dinner will showcase the Planetary Health Diet and culinary innovation, blending tradition and sustainability to redefine what a truly healthy, sustainable, just food future looks like.

“Food is at the heart of both the problem and the solution to many of our existential crises. We have the science, we know the solutions, and now we need urgent action. The EAT Stockholm Food Forum is where bold ideas meet real-world action. We’re bringing together a diverse group of leaders to drive systemic change because the cost of inaction is no longer an option.”
—Dr. Gunhild Stordalen, Co-founder and Executive Chair, EAT

With just five years left to achieve the 2030 global sustainability goals, the time for debate has passed. Science has outlined the solutions. Now is the time to implement them.
