Ellen Cecilie Wright is Senior Science Officer. In this role, Ellen is part of the EAT-Lancet Commission 2.0 and other science projects at EAT.
Ellen’s professional background is in nutrition and food systems. Prior to joining EAT in 2023 she has more than 10 years’ work experience from UN agencies and international organizations, including the Food and Agriculture Organization of the UN (FAO) and the UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR). Her early work was primarily related to nutrition and food security in emergency contexts, including experiences from most regions of the world. While after witnessing the devastating results of natural disasters, food insecurity, and malfunctioning food systems, her work has increasingly focused on healthy sustainable food systems.
Ellen holds a master’s degree in Nutrition and is currently pursuing a PhD at the University of Oslo, focusing on sustainable diets. Ellen is a Norwegian national.
