Prof. Caroline Orfila Jenkins

Caroline leads a diverse team of scientists and engineers responsible for delivering R&D breakthroughs in crop quality & diversity, enzyme and bioprocessing technology, analytical science, consumer experience and human nutrition.

The team works closely with other teams at Oatly to bring great tasting, healthy & sustainable oat-based products to the market.

Before joining Oatly, Caroline was appointed Professor of Plant Biochemistry and Nutrition at the University of Leeds in the UK, where she is still a Visiting Professor.

She is a Registered Nutritionist and has worked at the intersection of agriculture, food science and nutrition for over 15 years.

She acts as a mentor for early career researchers and was selected as advisor and evaluator for funding agencies in Africa, Asia, Australasia and Europe.
