The Role

We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Graphic Designer to join our Communications team at EAT, on a six-month contract. In this role, you will help implement EAT’s brand identity across all channels and materials—from reports and websites to social media and major events. You’ll be instrumental in shaping how our science-based messaging is communicated visually and will support strategic design needs across teams and functions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure consistent and correct implementation of EAT’s visual identity across all communications, based on the brand guidelines.
  • Create branded materials including reports, newsletters, presentations, and infographics.
  • Develop and manage templates for project use and provide support for best-practice implementation.
  • Design and publish content for EAT’s website, maintaining its architecture and visual integrity.
  • Support multimedia and design requirements for the EAT Stockholm Food Forum and convenings.
  • Research, curate, and edit images; help maintain the organization’s photo, video, and design library.
  • Create social media templates and assets; support content strategy and reporting.
  • Collaborate closely with the Communications team to deliver high-quality visual outputs aligned with our mission and brand.
  • Support the refinement of EAT’s visual identity, developing new visual elements and guidelines.

 

Candidate Profile

  • Experienced: a minimum of 5 years’ experience as a graphic or visual designer, preferably in a mission-driven or international organization.
  • Design excellence: strong portfolio demonstrating excellence in branding, publication layout, infographics, and digital design.
  • Technical proficiency: expertise in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop), Figma and Microsoft Office (Word, Powerpoint), and content management systems such as WordPress or similar.
  • Creativity: Strong visual storytelling skills and attention to detail.
  • Strategic thinker: understanding of brand strategy and development to ensure all outputs enhance our communication efforts.
  • Multi-tasker: ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Team-player: a collaborative mindset, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Language skills: Strong communication skills in English; proficiency in additional languages a plus
  • Bonus: Experience with data visualization and/or scientific communication.

Employment details

Contract: Full-time, 40 hours per week, including lunch breaks
Duration: 6-month fixed-term contract with the possibility of extension
Location: EAT headquarters in Oslo, Norway
Start Date: ASAP
