Celebrity Chef and Food Revolutionary
Jamie Oliver is a celebrity chef as well as a published author, restaurateur and campaigner.
He grew up in England where his parents ran a pub/restaurant. Young Jamie practiced cooking in his parent’s kitchen and when he was 16 he attended the Westminister Catering College. He gained experience working at several reputable restaurants. He was noticed by the BBC when a crew member was doing a story about River Café, where Jamie was working as a sous chef.
Jamie has multiple cookbook publications, TV programmes and has opened a number of restaurants.
in 2005, Jamie started a campaign to move British school children towards healthy eating. He was then voted as the “Most Inspiring Political Figure of 2005”. He launched the Food Revolution in 2010 towards sustainable food consumption.
