Dr. Netithorn Praditsarn

Vice President, Group Sustainability and Communications, Charoen Pokphand Group, Co. Ltd.

In his role as Vice President at Charoen Pokphand Group, Dr. Netithorn Praditsarn oversees the Group’s global corporate and sustainability communications. Responsible for outreach to over 30 countries worldwide, Dr. Praditsarn promotes the Group’s corporate sustainability policies through its membership in the United Nations Global Compact, its participation in the UN Forum on Business and Human Rights and the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD). He also played a pivotal role in setting up the driving the Global Compact Network Thailand, a network of 15 major corporations and SMEs, aiming to promote UN Global Compact principles among the Thai private sector. Prior to joining C.P. Group, Dr. Pradistam spent almost one decade with the Thai Ministry of Foreign Affairs, ultimately rising to the role of Chief of the Human Rights Section of the Department of International Affairs. While being posted at the Permanent Mission of Thailand to the UN Office in Geneva, he was Co-Chair of the Victim Assistance Committee under the Mine-Ban Convention. He was also part of Thailand’s presidency team at the Human Rights Council, which successfully led the first review process of the Council.

Dr. Praditsarn holds an undergraduate degree, a Master’s degree in International Policy Studies and a Ph.D. in Political Science from Stanford University, which he attended after receiving the King’s Scholarship and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Scholarship for both his undergraduate and doctoral degrees.
