Dr. Julio Frenk

JULIO FRENK, M.D., M.P.H., Ph.D. Since January 1, 2009, Julio Frenk is Dean of the Harvard School of Public Health. He is also the T & G Angelopoulos Professor of Public Health and International Development, a joint position with the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard.
Dr. Frenk is Dean of the Harvard School of Public Health and Professor of Public Health Sciences at the Leonard M. Miller School of Medicine. He was Dean of the Faculty at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. He served as the Minister of Health of Mexico (2000-2006). Dr. Frenk was the founding director-general of the National Institute of Public Health in Mexico, and he is a member of of the U.S. National Academy of Medicine, and is on the board of the United Nations Foundation.
