Managing Director, FReSH Programme
Currently, Alison is MD for FReSH (Food Reform for Sustainability and Health) seconded from Unilever. FReSH seeks to shift the food system on to a sustainable footing leading a group of companies committed to address key food system challenges from fork to farm.
At Unilever she was responsible for global partnerships and advocacy in support of the company’s focus on mainstreaming sustainable agriculture and land-use, and food security. She also sits on the WEF Agriculture and Food Partners group. Alison was on the UK Government’s Rio+20 Food Security Task Group and led the creation of the business coalition that supported the Nutrition for Growth summit hosted by Unilever in 2013.
Previously, Alison has held a number of environment, health and development posts, including an Oxfam Campaigner, Co-Chair of SERA an environmental campaign group, and led the Royal College of Nursing’s government affairs work.
Alison has an MA Hons Geography from Glasgow University.
