We have to break out of our silo mentality to fix our broken food systems, Gunhild Stordalen tells CNN

Gunhild A. Stordalen, President and Founder of EAT Foundation, sat down with CNN’s Desi Anwar to discuss the pressing issues facing our broken food systems and the need for cross-sectoral collaboration to solve the challenge of feeding a growing world population a healthy and sustainable diet.
“There is a system failure here, because the right (food) choices are not necessarily the cheapest or the easiest available. For healthy and sustainable food to be affordable, available and attractive for all, then we need the food industry to come up with solutions, we need policy makers to put enabling policies in place, we need to incentivize the right products and sustainably produced food, and put taxes on unhealthy and unsustainable products.”
«All over the world, governments haven’t linked production policies to consumption policies. (..) Agricultural subsidies are literally fueling a public health crisis and an environmental crisis.» DR. GUNHILD A. STORDALEN
