Seeds&Chips – The Global Food Innovation Summit enters Partnership with EAT Foundation

Published April 25, 2017

Seeds&Chips and the EAT Foundation have established a strategic partnership to speed up the transition to a sustainable food system that can deliver healthy diets to a growing global population.

The Italian food-tech initiative Seeds&Chips – The Global Food Innovation Summit is one of the top food innovation events worldwide dedicated to showcasing new ideas and cutting-edge solutions from around the world. The Summit is a hub for leaders and innovators to meet, discuss and build platforms for a more sustainable food future. Seeds&Chips believes that technology is increasingly playing a key role in the food system and has the potential to solve the most important and vital challenges we face: ensuring healthy, safe and sufficient food for all. The EAT Foundation (EAT) is a global multi-stakeholder platform that brings together leaders from science, business, politics and civil society to comprehensively address the food system’s challenges and create pathways to a sustainable, healthy future for all. EAT drives interdisciplinary research, develops evidence-based targets and helps translate knowledge into business actions, policies and changed consumer behaviour. Now, the two organizations join forces to amplify the impact of their efforts.

“We are thrilled to have Seeds&Chips joining our growing network of influential partners,” said Dr. Gunhild A. Stordalen, Founder and President of EAT. “To solve the food-related challenges, spanning from malnutrition and diet-related diseases to climate change and loss of biodiversity, more evidence and new policies will not be enough. We need concrete solutions that benefit both people and planet.

“We are proud to become strategic partners with the EAT Foundation. Seeds&Chips is dedicated to showcasing outstanding talent and cutting-edge solutions from around the world and the partnership with EAT follows our strategy of working closely together with companies, organisations and institutions who believe and support innovation in the food industry,” said Marco Gualtieri, Founder and Chairman at Seeds&Chips.

Dr. Stordalen will address the need for a holistic and collaborative approach to tackle food-related challenges at this year’s Seeds&Chips, which takes place in Milan on May 8-11th. Mr. Gualtieri will speak at the EAT Stockholm Food Forum on June 12-13th, where 500 progressive leaders from science, politics, business and civil society will convene to discuss policies and solutions for reforming the global food system.
